About Me

My name is Hutch Wheless, and I’m a Triad native with a background in business and economics from UNC-Greensboro and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler University in Chicago. I’m especially drawn to working with men and couples, including men navigating substance use, anxiety, depression, and communication challenges in relationships.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, curious, and practical, drawing from cognitive behavioral and trauma-informed frameworks while keeping the work grounded in real life.

I believe humor can be a powerful part of resilience and healing, and I aim to create an environment that feels relaxed and supportive, while also helping clients gently challenge patterns that may be holding them back.
