Wheless Counseling Services

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s often the first move toward meaningful change. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) in North Carolina who works with individuals, couples, and families using a collaborative and solution-focused approach. While we can’t change the past, therapy can help you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships and build practical skills for moving forward.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I work alongside clients to better understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships that may be contributing to distress, while also identifying strengths and resources they already possess. Therapy is a space where clients are supported in developing insight and learning skills they can apply outside of session to navigate life’s challenges more effectively. I do not approach therapy from a position of being the expert on a client’s life; rather, I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, and my role is to offer guidance, structure, and a non-judgmental space to support meaningful and sustainable change.
